AI business channels: a company that talks to itself
multi-agent channels · scheduled standups · escalation-to-counsel gate · human approval gate
Problem
Businesses require coordinated internal communication and a controlled path for responding to external events. The system needed a way for multiple AI units to operate within a single business context without uncontrolled external communication.
What we built
Each business runs a dedicated chat channel where its AI unit members participate. The unit includes operational agents for day-day work and governance agents to protect infrastructure and finances. Any relevant agent replies in its own voice when a message touches its domain, while staying quiet otherwise. The human maintains oversight.
Outcome
The system is live. Channels run scheduled standups where the unit works open problems together and files a tracked work-order. When outside events arrive, such as a landlord’s letter, the right agents convene, produce counsel, and file it for the human’s approval. Nothing is sent outward without approval. An incoming lease-review demand was handled by legal and finance agents convening to file a counsel report for approval.
